Arrival in Boston

Monday 24th We eventually made it to Boston after a delay at Manchester of 1h30m at about 16:00. We sailed through US Immigration in 2 minutes.

Found a hotel called the Ramada Inn in south Boston, as we went there in the bus we were thinking that it was not such a good idea as some of the areas whee not the best and there is not much to do once you arrive at the hotel. Also joined by 12 tinkers from Dublin in the hotel shuttle bus but thank god they are at a different hotel!!

Tuesday, 25th We had a bit of a mad thunderstorm during the night, the thunder was that strong that it set off car alarms!

Took the T (subway) into the city which was just a few short stops from the hotel, so the hotel is actually quite handy and not as far out as we had feared.

We have spent the day seeing Boston on foot. Did some shopping and just got our bearings.

Had tea then back 2 the hotel 2 do our laundry (the joys of backpacking)!!!!! Signing off, Itchy & Scratchy......
