Due to missing the bus and Sophie feeling much better we decide to hire a car and drive to Kaikoura for a few days before heading down to Christchurch, we were going to go to Kaikoura anyway so why not go there first. We arrived in the afternoon and find somewhere to stay, the hostel has several very friendly cats. We went out and got some yummy fish and chips from a takeaway for dinner.
